Online ordering is easy, there are just a few steps to follow to make the process go smoothly.

Step 1:  Choose a Box or Plaque:

I tend to work on simple boxes or plain wooden rounds. They are usually pine or basswood. Both woods are light in color and tend to be quite soft. This makes it easier to see the subtle differences in shading and makes for a better finished product. If you have something else in mind feel free to contact me and inquire as to the possibility of your choice.

Step 2:  Select Your Size:

The standard wood plaques that I offer come in 4 basic sizes, and the price is partially dependent on the size you choose.

  • Small plaques are approximately 5″ – 7″
  • Medium plaques are approximately 7″ – 9″
  • Large plaques are approximately 9″-11″
  • Extra large plaques are approximately 11″ – 13″

Step 3:  Choose the Image You Would Like Wood Burned:

This is probably the most difficult part. I am sure you  already have an idea in mind, but now you need to get me an image that best represents what you are trying to say. If you are choosing to have a pet portrait done, you need a high quality image of your pet that you would like me to woodburn.  If you are looking for something else,  I specialize in natures beauty, plants, animals, or almost anything, I am willing to show you what I can do. If you would like to see examples of some of my work, browse around If you choose to email me a copy of your photograph, high quality jpgs. are the easiest to manipulate for me, at least 150 dpi. If you prefer, you can send a picture to me personally, though you should make sure you have a copy of the picture yourself before mailing it, as mail does occasionally get lost in transit.

How it works:

I rely heavily on the pictures that are provided to me. I start with a sketch on the wood itself, once I have completed this phase, I will email you a picture of my drawing for approval or changes. I always try to get it right the first time, but I realize that sometimes changes need to be made to really capture the meaning of your custom art. I will provide a second drawing for approval without any additional charge. Please understand that after this, there may be a charge in addition to the original quote because of time constraints.

After we have agreed on the sketch I will begin your project.  Before I send your art, I do require the balance of the payment. I will send you an invoice via paypal, you need not create an account to pay. Once payment in full has been received,  your art will be on the way.

Payment:

I require a deposit of half before I begin work, and the remainder to be received before I mail you your art. The original deposit is non-refundable.
